Travel bucket list 2018

This is the first year that I am making a travel bucket list. Well… I have made some in the past but I’ve been too young to travel by myself or lacked money, as a normal teenager without a job would. Now that I am older I can start planning my next adventure and I’m so excited! Here are my top 3 destinations for this year!

San Francisco, California

My best friend and I agreed on taking a road trip in the near future. We would like to go somewhere in California that isn’t too far away. San Francisco is in the top of our list. I have gone a couple times but only to the Golden Gate Bridge. I have never gotten the chance to actually explore the city. Now that I have been getting more serious about photography and videography I would love to see what I can capture during my time there. It would be a personal challenge to get as creative as I can.

Madrid or Barcelona, Spain

Ever since I was 15 years old I have wanted to go to Spain! I told my parents I would rather go to Spain than have a quinceañera. Here I am 6 years later and I still haven’t gone. I’m glad I didn’t go as a teenager because I don’t think I would have appreciated it as much. This summer we are planning a girls trip, my mom and I, to go to Spain for a couple weeks. We are still deciding where in Spain, mostly it’s between Madrid or Barcelona. I’ve read online that Barcelona is “less Spanish” in a way and that in Madrid you would get the best experience of the Spanish culture. I’ve probably looked at all travel videos of Madrid and Barcelona on YouTube. Now onto the vlogs…

New York City

This is a big one for me. I imagine everyone can relate that NYC became the place to go after watching Gossip Girl. I fell in love! Literally, everything attracted me to NYC. I had the chance to go my senior year of high school when I was 18 years old. We were there for only 3 days and guess what? I didn’t really like it. Yup, I think my expectations were too high. The main reason is since we were only there for a few days everywhere we went we only had an hour or two to look around. There was a moment though coming out of a coffee shop and seeing the roads all covered in snow that I felt like I was in a movie. It was so beautiful. I knew I had to go back! I’m not sure when exactly I’ll go or where…. Should probably go on Airbnb now and look up some places to stay for a good price.

This is a great travel bucket list. I would love to go to San Francisco. We have family there so it would be super easy for accommodations. NYC is on my travel bucket list. I think just walking around exploring the city would be amazing. I fell in love with NYC watching Sex and the City. We are hoping to have a girls trip there next year. Spain sounds amazing. It’s one of the travel destinations we have on our future list when the kids are older.

I honestly have never watched Sex and the City. I feel like I am so behind but will make the time to watch it this weekend!

I think San Francisco. It isn’t too far and we will probably go during a three-day weekend or maybe spring break to have more time to explore!

I also made one this year! Your destinations are awesome…I’d love to visit any of those places. Maybe I’ll add them to my 2019 bucket list 😉

I need to sit down and make my travel bucket list. I never really had many travel companions so I always avoided traveling abroad. I am going to change that very soon.

That’s one of the changes I’m also making this year! I have planned to start a series in the summer about traveling alone, especially abroad.
